1. What is an adjustment?
A chiropractic adjustment is given to align the vertebrae which takes pressure off the nervous system.
2. How does an adjustment feel and how long will it take?
Patients report that being adjusted feels great. However, in some cases the individual may be sore the first time. An adjustment takes only a few minutes, but the vital nerve energy it releases can last for hours, days, or even weeks, depending on the stage of the care.
3. Is Chiropractic safe?
While 2000 people died from taking aspirin this year and thousands more from surgery and drug reactions, chiropractic in comparison is extremely safe. Your doctor of chiropractic will discuss any risks with you before adjusting you, but the risks are very minimal. In fact about 1 in 1 million chance of a problem happening is the statistics.
4. Should I be adjusted if I'm sick?
An adjustment will help your body regain control and balance to better fight the condition. So yes it is beneficial to come in to get adjusted when you are sick. If you believe you may have Covid 19 please advise the Dr.
5. Can an elderly person get adjusted if they have arthritis or brittle bones or if someone has had back surgery in the past?
Yes to all of those, we use very gentle techniques for those types of conditions.
6. Can I be adjusted if I'm pregnant?
Yes, for normal development of the baby and easy the lower back pain or back labor. it's essential. You wouldn't want to take medications while pregnant if you can take care of your pain naturally with no side affects to the fetus. It is also very safe for the baby and mother to get adjustments during pregnancy.
7. Do you accept insurance?
The real question is " can I afford you?" In our practice we will bill your insurance if it pays for Chiropractic services and we are in network, but if you do not have insurance, no problem. We will have a cash plan that is right for you.
8. Should I bring in my children to get their spines checked? Of course, children respond well to chiropractic. Symptoms like; earaches, headaches, concentration problems, bed wetting and sleeping restlessly can all be signs your child should have there nervous system checked by a chiropractor. The Chiropractor will check to see if the spinal vertebrae could be pressing on the nerves.
